TETV Premieres New Show- Harriet B's Daughters

TETV premieres new streaming talk show, Harriet B’s Daughters, to promote intersectional mentorship within LBE and Themed Experience industry.

TETV launches today the first episode of one of its newest shows, Harriet B’s Daughters, named after the volunteer mentorship network founded by industry veterans Nicola Rossini and Cynthia Sharpe. The mentorship network was first ideated by Rossini and Sharpe after a unique conversation at an industry conference regarding the specific obstacles that women

face when travelling internationally for work. Recognizing the significance of such advice and the potential for more nuanced conversation and mentorship, Harriet B’s Daughters was created. Named for Harriet Burns, the first woman hired by Walt Disney Imagineering in a creative capacity, Harriet B’s Daughters (HBD), state on their website that they aim “to mentor and foster relationships with and between current and new members of traditionally underrepresented groups, allies, and accomplices; and to advocate for equity, diversity, and inclusion in all forms in our creative work.”

The first episode airs today, March 3rd, 2021 at 9am PT/12pm ET, as a part of TETV’s month-long celebration of #WomensHistoryMonth and will feature an in-depth conversation with Rossini and Sharpe about the origins of HBD and their hopes for the show’s future. “As with all of our initiatives, the hope is this will become a member-driven platform and space for sharing knowledge and information. In many ways this can be an extension of our speakers’ bureau, and much like everyone is a knowledgeable mentor about something, any [member] can propose, lead, or join an episode,” Rossini invites.

Please join TETV in welcoming Harriet B’s Daughters, also playfully referred to as Intersectional Dumbledore’s Army, to the network, and join us on Youtube at Themed Experience TV.
