Disneyland's Grand Re-Opening!

Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure Park have opened their gates!

412 is a relatively large number. It is (debatably) too many times to ride Space Mountain in a row, and it’s definitely too many hand-dipped corn dogs to consume in a week (if you’re a coward.) Most of all, four hundred and twelve is a GARGANTUAN number when you realize that is how many days Disneyland has been closed. Today, April 30th, Disneyland celebrates its reopening to their California Guests.

Need-To-Knows

• At this time, both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park are only admitting

California residents through their gates. This decision, along with limited park capacity,

aims to prevent the spread of C-19 associated with extended travel. Additionally, Disney

electric bill, just in case.

• Securing a theme park ticket and park pass reservation ensures your admission. It has

been an absolute mad-dash scramble to attain both, so if you’ve made it this far, I think

you deserve that Dole Whip.

• Face coverings are required, of course. Stay safe and have fun!

What’s New?

Snow White’s Enchanted Wish

A reimagining of the classic, opening day attraction, Snow White’s Scary Adventure, Enchanted Wish brings to life the happily ever after of Disney’s first princess. The attraction has undergone changes inside and out, creating a more welcoming, fantastical feel.

For the diehard fans, have no fear, The Evil Queen still broods over the entrance, pulling back the curtains to glower at guests.

Haunted Mansion: New Furnishings

In the guest loading area of the queue, a new portrait has been added. This original Marc Davis painting returns to the mansion, shifting from youth to decrepit age before your eyes. Additional changes have allowed for more room designated for the loading and unloading of guests utilizing wheelchairs.

COMING SOON: The Avengers Campus

The fated opening of this new themed land has been heavily anticipated since the first concept art was released. Finally we have a date! June 4th marks the opening of this super-powered corner of DCA.

What is Returning?

Largely, both parks are returning in full swing, with some notable exceptions. Classic attractions, food and beverage options, and retail locations will be available to all guests. Such returning favorites include:

• Rise of the Resistance (Boarding Pass

needed for access)

• Pirates of the Caribbean

• It’s a Small World

• Space, Big Thunder, and Splash

Mountains

• Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission:

BREAKOUT!

To check in on the status of your favorite attraction, this comprehensive article has all the additional information you might need. (I for one was quite relieved to know I’ll be soon reunited with Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride.)

Safety Guidelines

Disney has been very outspoken about the changes made to their parks to ensure cleanliness and safety for all guests and cast members. Such changes include:

• Face coverings are required (for all persons 2 years of age and older)

• Social distancing in all areas throughout the parks

• Temperature Checks for all guests

• Hand sanitizing stations throughout the parks, all of which can be easily located

with the Disneyland App.

• Reduced contact measures / utilizing cashless transaction methods

For more information on safety, check out the official statement here.

See ya' real soon!

To the fortunate folks who visited the Disneyland parks today, and who have upcoming park reservations, we hope you have had a glorious return. There are so many amazing hardworking people who have made these experiences possible, from TETV to you, THANK YOU FOR ALL THAT YOU DO!

As more and more themed experiences open their doors to the clamoring masses, we celebrate alongside. It is wonderful to see our industry making its careful and safe return. The large theme parks obviously draw a huge amount of attention and media coverage, but we are also invested in the success of smaller experiences: family owned escape rooms, roadside attractions, theatre troupes and improv groups. If there is a themed entertainment experience that you would like to see featured, please contact us!

Be sure to check out all of TETV’s super fantastic social media for the latest and greatest in themed entertainment. We will be featuring the return of the California Disney Parks on our TikTok, see you there!
